Star Wars Outlaws: GTA-Style Wanted System Confirmed by Creative Director

game

Star Wars Outlaws, the upcoming game set in the Star Wars universe, is generating buzz for its innovative gameplay features. Among the most exciting is a wanted system reminiscent of the police chases in Grand Theft Auto (GTA). Julian Gerighty, the game's Creative Director, shared insights into this system during an interview with Entertainment Weekly, highlighting how players' actions will have significant repercussions.

Gerighty elaborated on the system, drawing parallels to the familiar mechanics seen in GTA. "Imagine the police in Grand Theft Auto," he said. "If you're caught committing a crime, a pursuit will ensue. Eliminating a few pursuers will only escalate the situation. At the highest level, death troopers — or perhaps something even more formidable — will be dispatched after you."

This dynamic adds a layer of tension and strategy to Star Wars Outlaws. Players must carefully consider their actions, as being spotted by Imperial forces can lead to intense chases and dangerous encounters. The game's wanted system ensures that each decision carries weight, enhancing the overall immersive experience.

In addition to the Imperial forces, other syndicates within the game will also play a role in hunting down the protagonist. These factions, equipped with their bounty hunters, will create a multi-faceted threat landscape for players to navigate.

The recent leak of an unpublished trailer for Star Wars Outlaws seemingly corroborates Gerighty's statements, showcasing one of the elite Imperial soldiers. This sneak peek has only heightened anticipation for the game's release.

Set to launch on August 30, Star Wars Outlaws will be available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5, featuring Russian subtitles. The game is expected to make an appearance at the Ubisoft presentation on June 10, where fans hope to see more of what this ambitious title has to offer.

The latest trailer, which includes appearances by iconic characters like Jabba the Hutt, has further fueled excitement. As the release date approaches, fans of both the Star Wars franchise and action-adventure games eagerly await the chance to explore this new addition to the galaxy far, far away.
